Niagara College Project: Grasping Chaos

Grasping Chaos is a strategic round based action card game, set in a world of conflict and power where a council of spellcasters engage in battle every blue moon. These battles decide a grandmaster who will hold power over the realm, but the title of grandmaster is not given, it’s taken through magical heretic combat. The casters will put their life forces on the line to achieve the title and obtain true power. 

Players control one of two powerful magic casters: the Stag or the Skull. Utilizing strategy, wits, and skills, they aim to defeat their opponent by casting a variety of spells through their fingers. Spellcasting is done through quick time events that test a player’s accuracy, precision and the ability to stay calm under pressure. The player who removes all their opponent’s fingers first will be victorious.

Work highlights:

  • Fullscreen shader to add a layer of dithering and posterization.
  • Shaders allowing for dynamic material movements and animations like, liquid rising and falling visuals, Fire dissolving effects, aura outline while still also being able to blend textures.
  • Character and environment modeling, texturing, and animations.
  • Sound effects and custom music soundtrack.

Global Game Jam Project: Bubble Lab

Jam Theme: Bubble

Bubble Lab has a bit of a infection spreading and Bubble Tech has sent their best janitor to clean up the lab and defeat the infection, ready with his soap gun be ready to blast through rooms as you defeat infected bubble creatures get different soaps and explore the lab to clean it perfectly.

  • 3D environment assets and textures, tillable assets to work alongside room generation.
  • Shaders including bubbles, moving water, portals.
  • 2D UI and menu.
  • Custom music.

Niagara College Project: A Colourful Trail

In a world where colours have power, allowing the people there to use the abilities freely, the corrupt President Vanta drains the colour from the people and the world for his own nefarious plans. Only one person, a young boy named Chroma, is able to escape with some last bits of colour: Red, Blue and Yellow. Using these three colours, he sets out to take back the rest of it to restore his world.​
